Galatians 5:22 (NIV) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy …”
Playfulness is a joyful, creative and relaxed way to be together. To be playful also requires a level of freedom and courage. At GrX, we take Jesus seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”
Prayer is conversation with God, encompassing speaking and listening. Prayer has many forms that include praise, lament, confession, thanksgiving and making requests (intercession). Healing recognizes that we are broken people living in a broken world and that God is a God of healing, love and care. At GrX, a few expressions are Upper Room, Sunday Service and “Time with Jesus” in KidZone.

2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (NIV) "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
Generosity is an act of faith, believing that God will provide as we entrust ourselves to God’s provision. Generosity is the joyful sharing of what God has given to us. GrX is a generous church. Many people give of their time, talents and resources, sharing with others inside and outside the church.

Micah 6:8 NRSV (Updated Edition) "He has told you, O mortal, what is good, and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?"
Justice is the right use of power. From a place of solidarity and empathy we make space to listen and honor someone’s story, then recognize our common humanity. At GrX, we live out this value by providing financial care for people in resource poor situations (like Kids IM, Philippines, CityTeam) and participate in all church activities like Operation City Team and Feed My Starving Children.

Matthew 19:13-15 (NIV) "Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Everyone is every person (kid, youth, adult, etc.). At GrX, there are many spaces and activities that are strategically designed with everyone in mind. Regarding ministry and missions, our GrX ministry partners are chosen such that everyone can participate.

1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (NIV) "Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ…. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
Special needs encompasses providing special assistance and additional allowances to people requiring additional care. At GrX, expressions of this are present as we seek to create space and community in our Sunday worship service, KidZone Children’s Ministry, Reset Youth Ministry and in our missions teams marked by greater patience, understanding, honor and respect. Programs like GEM buddies help bridge kids and families together.

Joshua 1:7-9 (NIV) “Be strong and very courageous… Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Courage is acting in the face of fear. It is the ability to do something even when it frightens you. Courage is finding strength in the face of grief, pain, or the unknown. At GrX, on any given Sunday, GrX members step into moments that require courage—whether leading worship, teaching children in KidZone, operating the lighting and sound systems, or welcoming newcomers to church.
