Scott loo
Lead Pastor
A Bay Area native, Scott has a passion for helping things grow. After graduating from UC Berkeley in Zoology, he received a master's from ABSW and a doctorate from Fuller Seminary. Across 35 years of ministry, he has served as a pastor, hospital chaplain, youth worker and property developer. Previously, Scott baked for Noah’s Bagels and taught in Oakland. He and his wife, Evelyn have two adult children and a dog (Daisy). Scott enjoys coffee, chocolate, baking, musicals, good stories and propagating carnivorous plants.

Youwan kang
Associate Pastor
Born in Seoul, Korea but grew up in Cupertino, CA, Youwan has been serving in the Bay Area and Hawaii for over 30 years as a pastor and campus minister. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University as well as Fuller Seminary (M.Div and D.Miss). Youwan and his family joined GrX in the Fall of 2024 and has been serving on staff since late 2025. He loves sports, music, gummy candy, and a good cup of black coffee.

Ray Lin
Worship Arts Director
With musical training in piano, guitar, voice, and songwriting, Ray has served in the worship ministry at GrX for over 20 years and has been on staff since 2012. He is passionate about bringing generations together through worship and helping youth develop their gifts as worship leaders. In his free time, you’ll find him playing pickleball, writing music, and exploring new places to eat.

Susie Soh
Worship Arts and Communications Coordinator
Susie studied Communications, Psychology and later Advertising but she credits her knack to plan, organize and strategize to the game of Tetris. Working behind the scenes as producer to coordinate with various teams can fit like a neat puzzle or turn into quiet chaos, but figuring out how to make it work is half the fun. This introvert doesn’t have much time for hobbies except for Netflix and trying to finish that book she borrowed from the library 3 months ago.

Molly Montgomery
Justice and Missions Coordinator
Born and raised in Taiwan, Molly has always been passionate about social issues and seeking ways to make a difference. With a background in elementary school education, Molly joined GrX KidZone staff in 2019. Then in 2025 she transitioned to Justice and Missions. On a typical Sunday, you can see Molly volunteering at KidZone, or chatting with the youth, or sharing her latest experience in local missions. Molly enjoys the outdoors as well as a good cup of coffee and a good book!

terrence Wu
Director of Operations
Terrence wears many hats at church—though he’d probably prefer a Mickey Mouse one! He loves working with kids and youth, building relationships through fun, memorable experiences. He also keeps the church’s finances and operations on track. When he’s not crunching numbers or hanging with students, you’ll find him watching movies, loving all things Disney, or geeking out over geek pop culture.

Children and Young Families Ministry Director
Hideyo was born and raised in the Bay Area. He graduated from UC Berkeley and Fuller Seminary. He has worked in ministry for over 25 years as a missionary, pastor, church planter and now as a director of children's ministry. He was also a stay-at-home dad to his three kids for over 10 years. He enjoys making tiki drinks for his wife of over 20 years, Alinna, cheering on his kids, and finding places to eat.

Jean Tang
Early Childhood Coordinator
Since 2024, Jean has led fun Sunday lessons for our youngest church members. Drawing on her design background and life as a mom of two, she loves bringing Bible stories to life through crafts and hands-on activities. When she’s not at church, you’ll find her decorating cakes, crafting with her kids, or heading outdoors for a family adventure—a love that began while growing up in beautiful New Zealand.
